I’ve never seen a Black Swan before but I spotted one from the balcony and quickly ran down to the lake to get some pics.
Apps for Android
I’ve had my HTC Desire Android phone for a few days now and I must say most of the stock and HTC apps & widgets are pretty good. There also some excellent apps on the Market too – some of which I’ll list.
New phone
My new HTC Desire arrived this morning. It’s full to the brim of awesome! I’ve been waiting for months for a new phone as I lost my old Samsung Innov8 only a few months after getting it so I’ve been stuck with Amy’s hand-me-down phone for nearly a year (feels like longer though)
Only thing is, Amy was waiting in for the delivery and when the guy turned up he was very freak and tried it on with Amy. He gave her a hug and a kiss on the cheek, but then came back later and tried kissing her and wanted to come in for a coffee! Reported his arse though, so hopefully he won’t be doing that again. F*cking arsehole!!
Another Milestone
Well it’s finally here, I’ve reached 30!! I wasn’t exactly looking forward to this particular birthday because I guess I’m not as young as I used to be. To be honest it’s just another number and I don’t feel like a thirty year old, I don’t act like one and I certainly don’t look like one
I had a good time, Amy was excellent, she brought me breakfast in bed, forced me to wear a dressing gown and slippers she bought to make me feel old (didn’t get me a pipe just yet though) and even cooked me dinner.
All Geared up for Christmas!
It’s the last day of work, there’s snow on the ground and I’m actually looking forward to tomorrow! It’s going to to be the first time I’ve spent a Christmas with Amy and we’re cooking our own Christmas dinner (which should be interesting).
I’ve finally got all the presents sorted out and I just need to wrap them. Amy has wrapped everything because for some reason she seems to enjoy it. She wasn’t interested in my idea of getting her to wrap her own presents I bought her, so I guess I’ll have to do that tonight
Enjoying the Bank Holiday
It’s been a pretty miserable weekend with the weather, but I was keeping an eye on it and it looked like Bank Holiday Monday was going to turn out alright. So today Amy and I decided rather than laying around the house doing nothing at all, we’d go out and enjoy a nice sunny day out and about. Continue reading
Stepping up a level in Photography
I like taking pictures and when I bought my Samsung Innov8 smart phone I was taking them whenever I could – as it had a 8 mega pixel camera (which was pretty much the only phone out at the time with a camera that good). The lens was pretty good and so was the sensor (the bit that actually does all the work). Unfortunately I was a plank and left it on the train on my way to work and funnily enough nobody was kind enough to return my £550 phone
Been out with Amy for a year now!!
Amy and I have been going out for a year now!! It doesn’t seem that long (well that’s what I tell her anyway lol).
It’s been great so far and I have faith it’ll get even better!

I've Moved
In May I moved into a two bedroom apartment in Caldecotte which is a five minute walk from where I work which is great!! It’s a really nice fully furnished apartment with pretty much everything included in the price, but the price is quite expensive (£995 p/m) so I’m sharing the place with a mate from work.
The Prodigy
I went to The Prodigy Concert at Birmingham NIA on the 09/04/2009. What a night!!! Got a coach down there with some mates from work and hit the bars before the concert started.
We only decided to go to the concert a couple of weeks before the concert, so we could only get seats right at the back of the arena, but apart from only seeing tiny little dots on the stage, over-priced beers and having to walk up hundreds of steps with those beers (trying not spill them like all the people had done before me), the music was awesome!
It was great to hear the new tracks off the Invaders Must Die album, but it brought back some great memories when they played the old classics, and the concert ended with Outer Space – that’s one hell of a way to end a concert!
